The Religious Diversity of Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Project Description

Stephen Epstein, a professional photographer for more than two decades, is preparing slide shows depicting the religious diversity of Toronto for the Pluralism Project. Toronto, Canada's largest city, has tremendous ethnic diversity with almost half the population born outside the country. Stephen is working in partnership with the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews (CCCJ), with the aim of producing a book. He will cover all kinds of religious life, from communal religious services to personal individual religious events, in the full range of religious traditions found in Toronto.

Rev. Dr. Karen Anne Hamilton, the General Secretary of the Canadian Council of Churches and a governor of the CCCJ, will serve as Stephen's advisor on this project.

Stephen is the owner of Ponkawonka Inc., a stock photo agency, and can be reached at info@ponkawonka.com.
