Survey of Vietnamese Buddhist Religious Sites in Orange and San Diego Counties, California

Continuing his research on Vietnamese Buddhism in America as a doctoral candidate at Indiana University, Douglas Padgett will document the Vietnamese Buddhist temples and activities in Little Saigon in Westminster, California and the surrounding areas. His research will generate profiles for the many centers in this area that will include an in-depth description of the center's activities as well as the history and photograph of each center. Douglas will also document ways in which the Vietnamese Buddhist community performs religious rituals and celebrates their traditions in public spaces.
