Martin Luther King Day has become a traditional annual celebration for American Corner Vlora.
This year the American Corner Vlora hosted the celebration of MLK Day with students from Aulona high school. They discussed the life and all the challenges of Doctor King for equality and freedom.
The students watched his “I Have a Dream Speech” and shared their thoughts on how that very speech is an inspiration to them even to this day. They analyzed Doctor King’s call for peaceful gatherings and protests, and not through violence and hate. Martin Luther King showed America that dreams can come true. Happy Birthday Doctor King!
