Mixed Rinzai and Soto Zen (Buddhism)
Websites:
Research conducted by affiliates at Kent State University led by Dr. David W. Odell-Scott and Dr. Surinder M. Bhardwaj in 1999.
Activities and Schedule
Weekly prayer is held on Tuesday nights from 7:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. The group celebrates a few Buddhist holidays but without regularity.
History
The center was founded by Carol Share and in the beginning the group rotated meetings through many sites in Cleveland. These sites included the Unitarian Society, Church of the Covenant, and Case Western Reserve University Architecture Building. The center was faced with a few challenges while they established themselves, including adapting the scheduling of center's activities to the membership and busy people in modern life.
Demographics
The membership is primarily English-speaking Caucasians.
