Activities and Schedule
Weekly regular prayer is on Tuesdays from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday service is the third Sunday of the month from 9:00 A. M to 11:30 A.M. The biggest festival celebrated is Vishaka Day. Some members participate in sessions and training at Udumbara Sangha in Evanston, IL, under the leadership of Rev. Diane Martin, Sensei. There are no childrens programs and the publication of a newsletter is in progress.
History
The center was founded by Rev. Diane Martin and Professor Edward Brennan and a group began to gather for worship at Cleveland State University and various donated spaces in the Cleveland area. A major challenge of the center was to stabilize the membership and to acquire a permanent site.
Description
The center consists of Zendo which is a large room within a barn on the property of Wayne Lobue and Elizabeth Padden. The property is located on six rustic, wooded acres in Russell Township east of Cleveland.
