30 year history

The Islamic Center of Cheyenne has been active since the mid 1970’s. Though it is a small community of only 10 or 11 families, the community has a very strong presence in the city. Members of the community are active in informal interfaith organizations and have been called upon by the governor to give talks around the state about Islam. The community’s current home is a new building built 5 years ago. Prior to this the community met in homes renting larger facilities for special events.
