Overview
The branch of Hillel on the Arizona State University (ASU) campus is connected with the international Hillel foundation intended to promote Jewish Campus life. The Tempe branch was originally established in the early 1960s but did not find a permanent meeting place until 1969. The group first rented a room at the Tempe First United Methodist Church, and held services at the Danforth Chapel on the ASU campus. Catering to a fluid student membership, Hillel has offices just opposite the ASU campus and membership has tripled since the late 1960s.Date Center Founded
