San Antonio Chapter Red Hat

Hello ladies and welcome to Scarlet Chapeau.  Are red and purple your favorite colors?  Well, they certainly are ours!!  We are members of an organization known as the Red Hat Society which is dedicated to meeting other great ladies, wearing red hats and purple outfits and having FUN!!!

Our chapter is located in San Antonio, Texas and we meet the first Saturday of the month at different restaurants and dine at 1 PM.  If you are in San Antonio, please come and visit us.  We hope you will find our site fun to browse and we look forward to hearing from you.

Scarlet Chapeau Button History:

Scarlet Chapeau was founded in San Antonio, Texas on March 18, 2002 by Queen Mother, Debbie Herring.  Our chapter is an offspring of the first Red Hat Society Chapter in San Antonio called the Delilahs' (started by Glenda Brock) which grew to over 200 members.  We have approximately 40 members who just love to have fun and find different activities to prove it.  We march in parades, travel to different cities to meet other sister red hatters, have teas and potluck luncheons, make hats and gather with our sister chapters in San Antonio at least 3 times a year to just have FUN!!!

Scarlet Chapeau Button Chapter Luncheons (dates shown in purple below):

Our luncheons are held @ 1 PM the 1st Saturday of the month unless we have something very special and need to change accordingly.  Our luncheons generally are $15.  

PLEASE NOTE: If you RSVP and don’t show or cancel before the final headcount is called into the restaurant, you will be charged for the luncheon that day.  All guests should RSVP to Queen Debbie.

REMEMBER proper attire is required for ALL Red Hat functions.  Therefore, if you are 50 or over (Red Hat & Purple outfit) and under 50 (Pink Hat & Lavender outfit).  Of course, having fun is also required!!
