History

Established in the South End in 1874, Resurrection Lutheran Church moved to the Dudley Square area of Roxbury in 1923. Today, the church is one of the anchors to a reviving Roxbury community. The congregation has become more and more a public church, engaged in service to the Roxbury community.

Description

The congregation's current programs include a family support center in collaboration with Lutheran Community Services of Northern New England, which offers job and social service linkages, and a twice-monthly food pantry, which distributes free groceries to 75-100 families.
