The American Albanian Law Enforcement Association (AALEA) proudly announces a $15,000 donation to the family of fallen Albanian State Police Officer Enea Mekolli, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to honoring those who make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
A police badge represents more than a profession—it represents a solemn oath to protect others, often at the greatest personal cost. When one officer falls, the entire law enforcement community mourns. There are no borders in the brotherhood and sisterhood of service.
On behalf of more than 1,500 Albanian-American law enforcement professionals and supporters throughout the United States and Canada, AALEA extends its deepest condolences to the Mekolli family, the Albanian State Police, and the people of Albania.
“Officer Enea Mekolli gave his life in service to his nation. His courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten,” said Elton Shametaj, Founder and Chairman of AALEA. “No amount of money can replace a husband, father, son, brother, or colleague. However, we hope this contribution reminds the Mekolli family that they are not alone. The Albanian-American law enforcement community stands beside them today, tomorrow, and always.”
