ALBANIAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITY PROTESTS AGAINST SERBIAN TERRORISM AND WARMONGERING

On Monday, October 23, 2023, the Albanian-American community will gather for a protest in front of the UN headquarters at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza in New York City to condemn Serbia’s acts of terrorism and relentless warmongering. Albanian-Americans are calling on the United States and the international community to use all tools necessary to call on Serbia to cease and desist its actions and policies that are undermining the stability of Kosova and the Balkans. Most recently, on May 29th, 2023, Serbia orchestrated violent protests in northern Kosova that resulted in unprovoked attacks on NATO-led peacekeeping force KFOR. On September 24th, 2023, terrorists and paramilitary units from Serbia carried out a terrorist attack in Kosova. The Albanian-American community is demanding that Serbia and its leaders be held accountable and those responsible for the aggression and terrorism be brought to justice. The Balkan region is a fragile powder keg. Without intervention, this could lead to a war in the heart of Europe and another war faced by the international community.

Date and Time: Monday, October 23, 2023 – starting at 1 P.M.

Location: Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza Corner of East 47th Street & First Avenue New York, NY 10017

This follows the most recent terrorist attack in Kosova by Serbian paramilitary terrorists, resulting in the tragic loss of a Kosova police officer and injuries to others. The UN Security Council meeting is expected to convene at 3:00 PM.
