Twenty seven productions, three days, one roof – Noli Film Festival is a free event with registration, that is presented in a historic landmark, Saint George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral, South Boston.

The opening ceremony will take place outdoors at the newly curated garden on side of the Cathedral’s building from 5:30 to 6:20. During this time, guests will be greeted in and partake some refreshments. The acclaimed Albanian actress Mariana Kondi will give her opening remarks there.

The curtain goes up on the first Albanian Film Festival at the upstairs auditorium that is especially fitted for the movie experience in terms of sound and visual quality. Appropriately, the festival honoring Fan Noli opens with the world premiere of a short documentary on Bishop’s Noli first years in the US that paints a picture of his inner drive and purpose during a tumultuous period for the country.

Whether you come for the documentary which is only a part of the evening or wish to get the full experience of the Friday lineup, there is a lot in store that will keep you engaged and entertained on the first night and the whole weekend.

On-screen you will ‘meet’ Albanian filmmakers from the US, Albania, Kosova, Northern Macedonia, while off-screen, at the Cathedral, there are a handful of artists and some members of the jury that will be participating in questions and answers sessions with the audience, and who can also take you for a behind the scenes view of the movies and productions shown at the venue.
