Dear AAWO “Motrat Qiriazi” Sisters!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are thrilled to announce that Eva Milo Burnazi has been appointed as our new president , effective July 1, 2026.
Many of you already know Eva as she has served with dedication as AAWO Board Secretary for the past 15 years. During all these years Eva was instrumental in compliance and documentation spearheading our recent fundraising events and seminars to empower women in our community. Because of this deep organizational knowledge Eva is uniquely positioned to lead our board into its next chapter of growth.
“My mission is to continue empowering women in our community, to make sure that they find a place to learn get inspired and make a new friend. To make alliances and unite Albanian women’s organizations in our community. Together we are stronger.”
As we celebrate this new chapter of our organization, we also want to extend our gratitude to our outgoing President, Beti Beno, Esq. who has led this organization for the past 10 years and worked tirelessly to build a stronger voice for the Albanian women’s organizations to celebrate and honor our heritage. We are grateful that Beti Beno, Esq will continue to support our mission and be head of our advisory board. It is all about sisterhood standing together and supporting each other. Together we will succeed, together we are stronger.
The AAWO “Motrat Qiriazi” is a 33-year-old organization. To get here we give a special thank you and gratitude to the founder, our past presidents’ volunteers, and past AAWO employes that have contributed and shaped this organization.
As we say thanks to all the sisters who are part of this organization, we encourage you to become members and volunteer today and in the future.
